This app used to work great but the past few weeks its been creating multiple notes within Evernote for the same day. As of today at 1pm there are three separate notes called December 30th instead of just one. Very frustrating.

Dont waste your money or your time. I cant see how this is any kind of an improvement over taking notes in Evernote. With the journal if try to add pics they dont show up in your note until you save it. Then it saves it to Evernote eventually. But I tried it a few times and I had to turn my phone off then back on before I could use the Journal app again because it never stops downloading to Evernote, even after Evernote has the file. Lame App.
I like this app: it is easy to use for entering notes into an organized daily journal. I tags the time, date, and location of the entry on a single page for the date entered. However, it drains the battery way more than it should for an app of its functionality. I saw the percent battery charge go down several percentage points while entering a simple note.
Would get five stars if you could use the camera directly through the app and record audio.
Pros: This is a great concept to help you journal using the already amazing Evernote. It does help organize your journaling with time stamps and keeps them in order. Cons: You are pretty much restricted to using the app to journal. If you try to enter or alter any journal entries outside of the app, you are going to run into many formatting errors. I would like to journal on my PC as well, but this app makes it difficult to use both my iPhone and PC seamlessly. I will be hoping for some improvement in the future, but will continue to journal with Evernote and not through this app.
A good app with which to journal. Makes it easy to casually add short notes throughout the day, or write a longer meditation. However, I have to take off points because the app freezes when I want to add a photo. This has happened repeatedly and I have to delete the app and reload it. Also, its unclear what the other icons are supposed to do.
I really like this app. Ive never been a journal-er, but have wanted to. This makes it easy to journal occasionally with the peace of mind of backing up to Evernote account. I like the lack of fanciness, but wish it had a few more bells and whistles. Id love to have the option to import my calendar items for the day so that my journal had that automatic record of what I was doing. Thanks Voyager Apps for a nice Evernote add-on.
This app quickly stores up my snatch journal notes throughout the day and keeps them organized in EverNote.
I make multiple entries throughout the day into my Evernote. Needed something that would allow me to do that quickly and with an automatic timestamp. If this is what youre looking for, then get this app. There are others out there, but none are as automated as vJournal.
Pro: Loads quickly with a minimum of fanfare Entering new notes is simple, just start typing Workbench (a virtual lined pad) is straight forward Con: This app is far from intuitive; it frequently does not perform as expected. No online user guide or tutorial is provided - users must sink or swim on their own. No “Settings” options are provided. No "Help" is provided. The "gear" (Settings) icon in the controls column serves no function - click on it and your SOLE option is to exit the application. Saving notes: Saving frequency/methods should be “Settings” options Notes are NOT automatically saved at the end of each day. Likewise users are not prompted to save notes or photos after each entry. Notes remain in limbo until manually saved or deleted. Only the last photo tagged to be saved is actually remembered, however NO photos are copied to the note pad and no description or list of tagged photos appears on the note pad. When I tried to tag 3 photos, only photo #3 was remembered and transferred to Evernote. The only indication that any tagged photo even exists is a colored badge on the photo icon in the controls column There is no way to recall, delete or edit a thumbnail image of a pending tagged photos. For a far better choice for journaling, try OnePAD from which notes can be transferred to email, Evernote or social networking apps. From my standpoint, vJournal For Evernote was a waste of money.
Takes the hassle out of writing and organizing a daily journal entry. Jot, post, repeat. There it all is together.
I like that it syncs to Evernote across devices. I wish it permitted more flexibility like bold, underline, AND LET ME DECIDE WHERE I WANT DOUBLESPACING so all my poetry wasnt doublespaced.
This is a pretty simple app: lined notebook-style paper and a font for typing. So, if this is all there is, couldnt they have made it so that when you type, the words would stay registered with the lines on the paper? This really annoys the OCD in me. And if they cant make the words sit on the lines, why dont they just take away the lines?
Throughout the past four years many journal apps have had the opportunity to impress me, yet all, other than this one, have left me longing for simplicity and function. As an avid user of EVERNOTE for the same four years Ive been most impressed with the quality, function, and simplicity offered throughout the entire EVERNOTE package, finding a complimentary journaling app only lead to a richer daily experience. If youre reading this review its safe to assume you are already an EVERNOTE user. If simple and flawless journaling is what youre interested in then I HIGHLY recommend this app as a compliment to your writing experience!
I rarely take the time to write a review but this app has me journaling again! I love that you can attach a photo easily and save in evernote. My preferred way to plan my day ( in the am in vjournal) and then I pull up note in evernote to add details etc. Love it!
There are some really good qualities this journal has. But being unable to load photos is a deal breaker.
I just purchased the paid version and when trying to authorize Evernote it keeps looping back to vJournal. No success login or authorization achieved. Tried the free version and it authorized first try.
I was initially excited to see this app updated! When iOS 8 came out it broke the ability to add pictures to entries. This issue was not corrected with the new update! Additionally, it goes into a loop and will not allow you to login to your Evernote account now. Until they get corrected, I wouldnt bother getting this app.
Same story as the reviewer before me! I didnt check and assumed it was a good app. Currently, it is a rip-off. Avoid it!
After upgrading to the latest version, cant get authorized by Evernote any more.
